Michelle Bardsley's desire is to put her educational leadership experience and business acumen into action and serve to better the lives of NC families, businesses, and communities.
Education: Michelle Bardsley is an active education leader with over 15 years in public education in K-8 and high school Career and Technical Education (CTE). Michelle knows that education is the key to career success and upward mobility. Prior to teaching, she has 13 years of professional business experience in accounting, finance, and IT leadership. Michelle is a 1st generation college graduate, earning Kaufman Honors at Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Finance.
Leadership: Michelle Bardsley developed her leadership and a strong work ethic being the oldest of four children and working in her mother and grandmother's family-owned businesses during her teen and college years. Michelle has a passion to help others succeed. She has served on curriculum writing teams with NC DPI CTE and with local and national education leaders to improve instructional strategies and increase student achievement. For over a decade she has led many student initiatives such as Future Business Leaders of America clubs to develop business and leadership skills in students to make sure they are ready for the workforce
Family: Michelle Bardsley and her husband have been married for 30 years and have 4 adult children and 2 grandsons. They have lived in NC for 23 years, with Greensboro as their home. The family unit has always been a priority to her growing up with family in Tidewater, Virginia, and Washington County, North Carolina. She is the stepdaughter of a Navy Seal, daughter of a civil service electrician father, and granddaughter of a WWII Pearl Harbor attack-Navy Sea Bee. Michelle knows how important family is as the foundation of a healthy and growing community.
